Building Resilience: Self-Care Strategies For People Who Serve (Members)

November 6, 2019  09:00 - 12:00
Fee: $45.00
Seats Remaining:14

Resilience is a quality of capacity. It’s the ability to recover quickly from stress or difficulty. When working in the realm of nonprofits, stress and difficulty can often be the name of the game. How do you practice self-care when serving others (without causing yourself more stress in the process)? This session will provide some practical strategies for beginning or deepening a holistic self-care practice. Participants will leave with an understanding of how to incorporate recovery into their everyday lives so that they may increase their capacity for resilience and serve at a deeper level.

K.C. Gott of Knoxville, Tennessee will lead the workshop. She is an intuitive coach and teacher. She was a lecturer at East Tennessee State University and is a certified professional coach and a certified holistic health coach. K.C. has a passion for helping people see possibilities, connect to their desires, identify their intentions, and create the structures for making dreams into realities.

K.C. will also be available throughout ReFrame Conference for complimentary 60-minute coaching sessions for staff teams. More information and sign-ups will be available in late September.

Workshop registration includes a breakfast snack (whole fruit, granola bar, coffee/hot tea/hot chocolate). A boxed lunch will be provided at noon when the workshop ends. Menu: Turkey, Swiss, Tomato, Lettuce, Mayo on a Kaiser Roll; Apple; Chips; Cookies; and Iced Tea or Water. Vegetarian lunch is available upon request (email ReFrame Conference kicks off at 1pm with the opening plenary.
